Joel Kapasi Lutete
Joel Kapasi Lutete is a CCCI doctoral student (2018–2022) in Building Arts and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where he has been enrolled since 2018, under a joint supervision arrangement with the Faculty of Economics and Management at Université Kongo since 2025.
At the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he is a member of the Laboratory on Landscape, Urbanism, Infrastructures and Ecologies as well as the Institute for Critical Areas Studies.
At Kongo University, he serves as an assistant in the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Architecture. He is also affiliated with the Research Center on Local Building Materials and Agricultural Lands, the Center for the Study and Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the Kongo Center for Environmental Law Studies.
He is also awaiting affiliation with the Center for Research in the Humanities, under the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
His doctoral dissertation, currently in the drafting stage, is titled: Interactions Between Rural and Urban Worlds in Understanding the Dynamics of Urbanization and Deforestation in the Mbanza-Ngungu District.
