Brusseau Bis

A new experimental development project - Brussel Water Sensitive City - New Season (Brusseau Bis). The project is funded by the Experimental Platform (Innoviris) program for the period 2020-2023.

The Brusseau Bis project wants to experiment and test a support system for co-creative Integrated Rainwater Management. This device is based on the results of the work of the Brusseau Participatory Action Research (RAP), whose objective was to show how the territory could be resilient to flood risks. It had been shown that scientists and citizens driven by a spirit of watershed solidarity were able to offer good quality co-expertise, sometimes very different from traditional expertise, allowing collective creativity in the search for solutions and could be part of an Integrated Rainwater Management. Brusseau Bis transforms this research into experimentation by opening up to institutional partnerships so that the integration of the city's inhabitants and users in territorialized policies for rainwater management can be pragmatically effective.

The partners of the project will be : Les Etats Généraux de l'Eau à Bruxelles (EGEB) ASBL, the Hydr research center (VUB), Latitude Platform, Arkipel, Bruxelles Environnement, Vivaqua, the commune of Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, the commune of Ganshoren, the commune of Jette and the City of Brussels.
