Adélaïde Ragot
Adélaïde Ragot is an architect and PhD researcher within LoUIsE and SONYA at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
She graduated as an architect from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture et de Paysage de Bordeaux and completed the Advanced Master in Transition Urbanism at ULB. Before starting her doctoral research, she worked at the Centre d’Écologie Urbaine, contributing to several climate plans and urban projects in the Brussels-Capital Region, with a focus on environmental inequalities and climate adaptation in urban renewal processes. Her doctoral research examines how climate change adaptation is concretely integrated into urban public action in the Brussels-Capital Region. Rather than a dedicated policy, adaptation is progressively embedded within existing planning and urban renewal instruments. The research explores how local actors combine climate and social issues in practice, and under which conditions these arrangements support - or hinder - more socially just urban transitions.
